Refund and Return Policy

1. Ticket Refunds

Ticket refunds are available under the following conditions:

  • Cancellation requests made at least 24 hours before the scheduled visit time will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellation requests made less than 24 hours before the visit time may not be eligible for a refund.
  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.

2. Museum Closure

If the museum is closed due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., weather, emergencies), ticket holders will be offered:

  • A full refund, or
  • The option to reschedule their visit to another available date and time

3. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us at tickets@vangoghmuseum.nl with your booking reference number and reason for cancellation.

4. Non-Refundable Items

The following items are non-refundable:

  • Special event tickets (unless the event is cancelled by the museum)
  • Gift shop purchases (subject to standard return policy)
  • Donations

5. Gift Shop Returns

Items purchased from our gift shop can be returned within 14 days of purchase with a valid receipt, provided they are in original condition and packaging.

6. Disputes

If you are not satisfied with our refund decision, please contact us to discuss your concerns. We will review each case individually.
